NuPath® is a digestive supplement and not a treatment or cure for any medical disorder or disease.  NuPath® is not a meal replacement.  If you have questions about your dog’s health or diet, consult a veterinarian.

Q: Why give pumpkin to a dog?

A: Pumpkin has long been recommended by veterinarians for dogs with digestive issues. It’s an amazing “super-food” because it helps with both diarrhea and constipation in dogs. Plus, most dogs like the taste of pumpkin and will easily eat it either alone or mixed with food.

Q: I'm not familiar with giving pumpkin to dogs - is this something new?

A: The introduction of digestive health products for pets is relatively new, and digestive health products for dogs have been somewhat limited until recently. The high fiber content in all-natural pumpkin has been found to be advantageous for dogs in recent years. Dogs need good digestive health just like people do and “doggie indigestion” is a concern for many dog owners.

Q: Can I use NuPath® every day?

A: Yes, we recommend using NuPath® every day for your dog. The fiber and vitamins in NuPath® will help aid in the overall health and vitality of your dog. Please follow the recommended feeding guidelines on the package in order to give the proper amount to your pet.

Q: Should I be concerned about the orange color of pumpkin when giving it to my dog?

A: Not at all! That bright orange color means pumpkin is loaded with beta-carotene. Beta-carotene is converted to Vitamin A in the body. Vitamin A is very important for maintaining good vision, a healthy skin and coat, plus the overall health and development of your dog.

Q: What’s the best way to give my dog NuPath®?

A: Each dog is different of course, but most dogs enjoy NuPath® added directly to their food. You can squeeze it directly onto the food or mix it into the food. Some dogs will eat it right out of the pouch if you squeeze it onto a spoon and let them lick it off. Research has shown that the taste of pumpkin appeals to most dogs – no matter what size or breed. However some dogs will need to be introduced to NuPath® on a consistent basis before they take to it.

Q: Can I give my dog too much NuPath®?

A: As with any food or treat supplement it’s possible to give your dog too much or too little. The recommended feeding guidelines suggest amounts generally relative to a dog’s weight. You may find you have to slightly adjust the recommended amount if your dog’s waste elimination doesn’t return to normal after a few days. If your dog shows serious signs of illness, you should seek the advice of a veterinarian.

Q: Is NuPath® a meal replacement?

A: NuPath® is a supplement and should NOT be used as a meal replacement.

Q: Do I need to refrigerate NuPath®?

A: Opened pouches with unused portions need to be refrigerated until the pouch is completely used. Unopened pouches and their box do not need to be refrigerated.

Q: How long do opened pouches last?

A: Opened pouches need to be refrigerated and can last in the fridge for up to 30 days.

Q: Can my pet have NuPath® while traveling or when boarded?

A: Absolutely! That’s what makes the convenience of NuPath® so appealing. Our easy-to-use squeeze packets are pre-measured, simple, and pack along with your dog. No utensils required and no mess!
